Founded in 2026 by Michelle (Kafel) Cintron and rooted in the Hudson Valley, OPEN CURRENT THEATRE is a female-helmed theatre company flowing beyond traditional stages to ignite dialogue, connect histories, and bridge communities. We create classical and contemporary theatrical experiences as a living current — carrying vital stories, urgent questions, and diverse voices wherever we travel — with depth, compassion and humor. 

Through touring, education, and civic engagement, we make theatre that moves.
